Children love costumes representing the animal world. Frequently requested characters include lions, tigers, and wolves, just to name a few.

Today, I’d like to suggest a Carnival mask you can make together: the fox mask.

This mask is created using a template you can download here on my site and is made with craft foam, a soft material that easily adapts to the face.
In my video tutorial, I’ll show you all the steps for this Carnival craft!

The Fox Mask

Tutorial

**Materials** – Red, white, and black craft foam – Template to download here: https://www.paneamoreecreativita.it/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/maschera-da-volpe.pdf – Elastic cord – Uhu Plast glue or white glue – Scissors and an eyelet punch
Instructions

Download and print the fox mask template, then cut it out.
Place the template on the red craft foam and trace its outline with a pencil, including the eyes.
Cut the craft foam following the pencil marks.
Use the template to cut out the ears and nose, tracing them onto white and black craft foam, respectively, and cutting them out.
Glue the ears and nose to the mask and allow the glue to dry.
Punch holes on either side of the fox mask using the eyelet punch and thread the elastic cord through the holes.
To determine the exact length of elastic needed, measure your child’s head.
Tie knots in the elastic cord to secure it in place, and the mask is ready for your child to wear!
