For all the children who would like to dress up as a fierce beast for Carnival, today we’re making a tiger mask with them!
Creating it will be super easy because you can download a pre-made pattern designed by Valentina. The moms will cut out the different parts, and the children can have fun coloring their own mask!
The Tiger Mask
One of the most requested costumes by little ones is definitely the tiger, but it’s not always possible to paint the skin of our children’s faces due to its sensitivity and susceptibility to irritation. So, let’s make the most of the classic mask instead.
What you’ll need:
- Yellow cardboard
- Scissors
- Orange, yellow, black, and pink crayons
- Pencil
- Transparent adhesive tape
- Recycled paper and printer
- Pattern
How to make it:
Print the mask shape on recycled paper and cut it out. Use the pencil to trace all the parts onto the yellow cardboard and cut them out.
Now it’s time to start defining the details of the tiger: using yellow and orange, create zig-zag patterns in the cheek area, above the nose, and below the ears. Color the nose pink.
Next, define the outline of the eyes with black and the stripes on the cheeks, above the eyes, and on the nose.
On the back, apply the ears with adhesive tape. Fold the muzzle section to add volume and secure it at the back with tape.
Finish off the nose with black.
To wear the mask, you can make two small holes on the sides and insert an elastic band, or apply a stick at the back with tape to hold the mask with your hand.
