Today, I’d like to share a small idea for creating Halloween crafts with magnets. We’ll have fun recycling plastic bottle caps from milk bottles and, at the same time, create something entertaining together with our kids. Using this waste material, we’ll make some colorful fridge magnets!
Halloween Crafts with Magnets
What you need
- 2 large bottle caps for each character
- craft foam
- PVA glue
- magnets
- googly eyes
- black permanent marker
- scissors and pencil
How to make them Have the kids draw Halloween characters on craft foam. We made a ghost, a pumpkin, and a monster, but you could also create a witch! Cut out the various craft foam parts and glue them together until you have your character. Draw the details (eyes, mouth, and teeth) with a black marker and add googly eyes if needed (I used them only for the monster). Meanwhile, adults should glue two bottle caps together by applying PVA glue all around the edge and pressing firmly to ensure the glue sticks. Add a magnet to the back of the caps and let the glue dry. Finally, glue the craft foam character to the front of the caps. Stick the magnets on your fridge, and you’re done!
