A colorful little hat that instantly brings joy: the party hat! Perfect for Carnival or birthdays, it can be worn to celebrate or used as a decoration for your home. This hat is super easy to make and is decorated with crepe paper or colorful tissue paper—materials that are easy to find and low cost! Let’s see how to make it.

Assemble the hat. To create the cone, I used a piece of tape on the inside to join the cardstock. Cut a strip from the roll of crepe paper and use scissors to make small cuts along both sides of the strip. Be careful not to cut all the way through! Attach the colorful garland you’ve created to the base of the hat with a stapler, and add a small tuft to the top. Inside the hat, attach a pair of ribbons so you can wear it.
