My son loves Tigger, he jumps like him and enjoys acting him out with his stuffed animals, so how could I not make him a Tigger mask for Carnival? I chose foam rubber, also called sponge rubber, as the material. It’s a durable material, perfect for small crafts with children. In this post, I’ll show you how I quickly created a durable Tigger mask that can withstand playtime, and if you’d like to try making one yourself, you can download the template and follow the tutorial.

The Tigger Mask

The Tutorial

Materials used: 1 sheet of orange foam rubber (I found it for 0.70 euros at Self, but you can also find it on Amazon) 1 sheet of yellow foam rubber, scraps of foam rubber in colors: pink and black, glue (like PVA glue or hot glue if you prefer a quick job), scissors, eyelet punch pliers, elastic thread. Procedure: 1) Download the Tigger mask template 2) Cut out the mask template and place it on the sheet of orange foam rubber. 3) Cut the foam rubber sheet following the outline of the mask. 4) Now cut out the various parts that make up the Tigger mask from the template: the two yellow parts for the face, the pink ear insides, the black eyebrows, the pink nose, and the two triangular black spots. Place the parts on the foam sheets and then cut them out. 5) Glue the cut-out parts onto the orange mask. Use a bit of glue. With a black marker, draw the whiskers and mouth of Tigger. 6) With the pliers, attach a couple of eyelets under Tigger’s ears, or alternatively, make a couple of holes. 7) Thread the elastic thread through the eyelets, and the mask is ready!
